Here I am doing that thing where I get angry about remakes of movies I love.
Warner Bros has decided to push forward on a remake of Gremlins instead of the long awaited on again off again sequel.
There isn’t a director yet but Seth Grahame-Smith is set to produce the film alongside David Katzenberg. Smith wrote Dark Shadows, an inconsistent, painful, train wreck of a film. Everything about this news fills me with dread.
Gremlins does not need a remake. It is perfect. I’m not even sure it needed a third movie. Depsite being fun it probably didn’t even need the second!
For every CGI Gremlin I see in this film I will murder a Mogwai…..
